Emily Jordan represented Yorkshire in the U13s Women County Cricket Championship, against Kent in the Semi Finals. Emily played an important role with the ball, helping her side to restrict Kent in chasing down Yorkshire's total of 119 for 6. Emily finished with figures of 3/12 off 3, as Yorkshire managed to bowl Kent out for 102 in the 28th over, and gain a place in the Final at Taunton against Devon in early September.

Helperby's Evening League team has won the Pilmoor Evening League Division 2 title, beating Civil Service on the very last ball. They will be now promoted into Division 1 for next season.

Overseas player Ryan Achilles represented Helperby in the Nidderdale XI vs Overseas XI. The Overseas XI won on the second last ball of the day, with Ryan taking 4/38 and made an unbeaten 68 which gave him
Man of the Match honours.

The Evening League team are equal top on the Pilmoor Evening League Division 2 table (with Crayke and Civil Service). With 2 games remaining, there is a chance that the team can be promoted and win the division. Final match is on the 6th August.

Helperby had two centurians over the weekend, Cameron Johnstone-Browne smashed his way to an unbeaten 101 in the 2XI, whilst Ryan Achilles scored his 3rd ton for the club, with an unbeaten 114 against Masham in the Atkinson Swires Cup.

Three batsmen fell in the 90's, remarkably 2XI Openers Cameron Johnstone-Browne and Clive Swiers were dismissed both on 99, and in the 1XI, Ryan Achilles was dismissed on 92.
Another 50+ Run opening partnership by Ryan and Matthew Cavanagh made sure that Helperby were off to a great start, but when Cav was dismissed for 25, Shaun Sowray on 17, and Ryan on 92, Helperby lost 7 for 11 to be all out for 159.
Tight bowling by Matt Cavanagh, Mark Spilman, Nicky Buchanan, and Al Darnell ensured that the game would go down to the wire, however Mat Cav's 5/37 was not enough to put the brakes on table leaders Newby Hall, as they won by only 3 wickets.

1XI Win Round 1 of their Knockout Cup class against Bolton Abbey. Winning the toss and batting, Ryan Achilles and Matt Cavanagh put on another 50+ partneship before Matt was bowled around his legs for 24. A quick partnership was formed by Mark Spilman and Ryan, before Mark ended his innings on 29. Ryan went on to make 119 before getting run out, as Helperby ended up with 215 from their 40 overs.

With tight bowling from Al Darnell, Matt Cavanagh, Nick Buchanan and Jo Corner, the required run rate soared. Jo Corner finished with 2/15 off 7 overs, whilst Mark Spilman had the best figures of 3/7 off 4. Al, Ryan, Clive Swiers, David Sowray and John Tuley all picked up a wicket each, as Bolton Abbey were bowled out for 131. Next Cup Match is again Masham on the 29th June.

1XI Win their first game in Division 1 against Bolton Abbey, with a 5 Wicket win. Helperby restricted the Bolton Abbey batsmen to 171 on a decent batting deck, with 2 wickets to Al Darnel and 1 to Ryan Achilles.
Ryan and Matt Cav started the run chase with a 50+ run stand, before Matt was out caught behind. Shaun Sowray, Mark Spilman and Olli Turner had cameo appearances, but it was Tom Spilman and Ryan who chased down the runs with 5 overs to spare, with Ryan finishing on 79 not out and Tom 20 not out.
